TEVEMA offers a complete range of gas springs engineered for industrial use. These components generate a constant extension force using compressed nitrogen in a sealed cylinder, making them ideal for lifting, lowering, counterbalancing and motion control. The force produced is nearly linear and supports ergonomic handling, reduced operator effort, and precise control in mechanical systems. Applications include machine covers, hatches, control panels, lids, adjustable chairs, hospital beds, furniture systems and storage access.
All gas springs are oil-damped to ensure smooth operation and controlled end positions. The internal guide system ensures low friction and high durability across repeated cycles. Each product is traceable to a part number and can be replaced or matched based on force, stroke, dimensions and mounting. Specifications and materials
Key specs and build options
Gas springs are available in multiple series with standard force ranges from 200 N to 5000 N. Stroke lengths go up to 600 mm. Standard construction includes a zinc-plated steel cylinder and a stainless steel rod. For more demanding applications, fully stainless steel gas springs are available, including RVS 316L for use in corrosive, marine or hygienic environments. TEVEMA also offers refillable gas springs with valve systems for recharging or pressure adjustment, as well as versions with hard-chromed rods and special oils.
Operating temperature ranges from -10 °C to +50 °C under standard specifications. Progression can vary between 8% and 50%, depending on the stroke length and diameter combination. Available types include 6-15, 8-19, 8-23, 10-23, 10-28, 14-28 and 20-45. TEVEMA offers advisory support to help engineers select the right balance between force, stroke and mounting geometry. All gas springs are manufactured to tight tolerances for consistent, reliable behaviour in dynamic systems.
Availability
All standard gas springs are available with stroke lengths up to 600 mm and forces up to 5000 N. Stainless steel and refillable versions can be manufactured on request. Custom dimensions are also possible based on your technical specifications.

Flexible setup and variants
A wide selection of mounting options is available to fit different installation needs. TEVEMA supplies fork heads, eyes, ball joints and end fittings in multiple thread sizes and lengths, compatible with all standard gas spring types. Accessories can be selected from pages 23 to 28 of our product documentation. Mounting hardware ensures secure installation and proper force transmission in both static and dynamic applications.
Gas springs can be manufactured as one-off specials or high-volume series, depending on project requirements. TEVEMA also supports replacement of existing gas springs, including matching based on length, force, rod/cylinder size and connection type.
